Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A), a leading Midwest public and investor relations firm, with offices in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Lansing, MI seeks a mid-level(5-8 yrs. experience) investor relations and/or financial services professional to join its fast growing financial communications practice. Ideal candidates must be able to manage a diverse workload and thrive in a team environment yet able to work independently. Position may be located in either Detroit or Grand Rapids, MI.


Ideal candidates will be responsible for providing strategic level investor relations and financial communications client work, as well as day-to-day account execution and regular interaction with Wall Street.


  • Must be able to develop, lead and implement the key tactical elements of an IR plan
  • Must possess a demonstrated ability to manage investor relations programs across a variety of industries and market capitalizations
  • Exhibits strong critical thinking and business and financial acumen, excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in financial modeling, competitive analysis, and strategic message development
  • Broad understanding of general business trends and an ability to consult knowledgeably with senior executives on a broad range of communications topics
  • Ability to manage and provide day-to-day guidance of an IR team
  • Provide strategic client counsel and manage complex client relationships
  • Possess a firm grasp of the local, regional and national business/media environments, online media and communities, and ability to understand the applicable trades
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities and lead new business initiatives
  • Commitment to investing time in networking and proactively promoting company’s services


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations and corporate communications/public relations, with at least some experience in financial analysis
  • Strong track record of winning, servicing and growing client relationships
  • Must have a strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling, as well as the ability to accurately portray financial results/trends in formal and informal investor communications, including earnings press releases, power point presentations and earnings conference calls
  • Credentials as a leader and enthusiastic practitioner/manager who follows trends and best practices in IR and financial communications
  • Agency experience or equivalent preferred
